a couple of things for you to think about.

as regard to juliet's singing style, is she better known for opera, or is she a cross over artist.

for the song she could do with aled, i have thought of  three or four which might be suitable for juliet to sing with aled as duets.

    1. all i ask of you (phantem)

    2. angel of music/phantem of the opera

    3. past the point of no return

what about them to start off with Lightning Paradise

    Hmmmm.

Juliette comes from a classical opera background....although she is equally at home with "crossover" music as you can tell from her lates EP.

    So, that makes it interesting?

HI Isobel...I think you must like musicals a bit? Smile.....There are so many lovely duets it is quite a challenge deciding. How about something a little more "classical"?

Not truly "Classical" but........how about "Time to say Goodbye" By Francesco Sartori?

Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman recorded this duet some time ago. Would be lovely performed by Juliette and Aled?Smile

    Re: Juliette Pochin

much as it is a good song and i love it, i don't think it is suitable for aled's voice for the following reasons:

    1. The song mentioned, is for an operatic voice, and i don't think aled's voice is strong enough for this song, I will go further in saying has aled has himself stated that this is the case.

    2. The song is mainly in italian, and i don't know aled's level of italian, i do appreciate however, he has sung french songs before now.

    3. The final chorus, when the song is about to end, finishes on top A, for a male it is the A above middle C and for a soprano, is is the A above that. They then have to hold on to this note until the last semi-beat of the song. With this in mind, although aled can reach that A quite nicely, i don't think he can hold on to that note, although he did do so in the Pi Jesu for his first album.

I hate to disagree on this, but for the reasons mentioned above, i don't feel the song is suitable for aled's voice.
