It is well-documented that Aled began his incredible professional career as an exquisitely-voiced treble at the age of 12, singing firstly at age 9 as a chorister in Bangor Cathedral, where he was fortuitously launched into his recording career at 12 yrs by the generous actions of a parishioner, Hefina Orwig Evans, who wanted his exceptional voice preserved for all time, so contacted Sain Recordings in Wales.
Aled's legendary boyhood performing and recording career spanned 4 years until his 16th birthday, when his voice broke. By then, he had delighted music-lovers the world over with a remarkable16 beautiful albums, selling 6 million records! Justifiably, he was hailed the world's greatest boy treble.
Credits to his name and talents include performances for the Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales (a private recital at Kensington Palace), the Pope, and at the wedding of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates.
