I won't be going be going to Aled's Midsummer magic concert on august 24th at Lincoln castle but I know Todd is so Todd and any other who are going enjoy lincoln and when you get back if you get the chance to please post a report for those of us who were not lucky enough to go

hiya Vicky ,we are lucky enough to be going to Lincoln and hope to give a report ,we also should be going to Huddersfield so hope to meet anyone at that venue .We have booked at the travelodge for one night but we have purchased a small motor home from 08/08/08 so we may add on a few extra nights

                 Hopefully there will be about 9 of us going to the Lincoln concert, so Im sure between us we can come up with a report for you.. Carol is coming up to Lincoln too for the weekend, and Im sure she will be doing one of her very comprehensive reports for the Fanclub, as she normally does for all the Aled concerts/appearances she attends. Looking forward to meeting Tom and Rosina and the rest of the gang on the 24th, it should be a great weekend. Anyone else who decides to come and would like to join us, please let me know either via PM here or via skypilot87uk@yahoo.com

 2 x TICKETS FOR ALED'S AND HAYLEY'S LINCOLN CONCERT ON EBAY

For any UK (or visiting) members who haven't been able to buy tickets to see Aled and Hayley performing at Lincoln Castle on Sunday evening, 24 August, there are two tickets up for auction on Ebay.

So far, it appears the bidding is at £20 for the pair of tickets. The face value is £25 per ticket plus £1.50 booking fee, so you may be fortunate to win the tickets for a lot less than the actual cost. Good luck!

You are bidding for two tickets for Hayley Westenra and Aled Jones at the Midsummer Magic concert at Lincoln's historic castle. Due to family commitments, I am very sadly unable to attend.

The concert starts at 7.30 pm and ends with a fantastic firework finale!

The tickets are priced at £25 each, with a £1.50 booking fee.

The Castle grounds will open at 6.15pm, unless otherwise stated.

Please bring a picnic to enjoy before the show begins. Please note that seating is not provided, so do bring chairs, rugs, picnic tables etc. English weather can be cool and / or wet at night, so bring warm clothing and an umbrella.

URGENT.....ticket available for Aled's Lincoln Concert.

Dawn has just notified us on the Fanclub to say that following the very sad death of our member Rosemary, her husband David has found one ticket for Aled's and Hayley's concert in Lincoln this Sunday, 24 August.

Dawn message is as follows....

Hi Everyone,

                    Ive just had a call from Dawn, who told me that the "ticket" arrived with her today, but when she opened the envelope, there are in fact two tickets. So if anyone wants a bargain, and fancies a day out in Lincoln, please drop Dawn a line at dawnkooos@aol.com  and make her an offer for the tickets. There are 10 of us going that I know of, and it would be great to welcome two more.

If the 2 Lincoln tickets aren't snapped up by one of our members by tonight, would it be possible for you to list them urgently on eBay? I don't have any concept of your distances to deliver the tickets, but I guess it'd be a case of whoever is lucky enough to win the bid may have to collect the tickets from the venue if you can get them there (or to one of the members already going).

I've just had the message through that Dawn has sold the two tickets to Aled's and Hayley's Lincoln Cathedral concert. Congratulations and many thanks to the purchaser for their donation to Hope House....I'm sure you'll have a fabulous evening! The lovely children of Hope House too will greatly benefit from their music therapy provided by the fundraising monies.

Hi Everyone,

                    Dawn has asked me to announce that £40 has been raised for Hope House, with a donation coming from a colleague of Carols on Classical X, who telephoned me twice today to say that she would take both tickets.. The person concerned Rainy, the Russell Watson artist supporter on Classical X, will also be joining us for lunch tomorrow, before we set off on either  a tour of Lincoln Cathedral, or go to the Castle in the hope of hearing Aled in rehearsals..and then of course onto the concert proper tomorow evening.
