I came across this very surprising picture tonight, and to be honest, I'm not quite sure how I stumbled upon it. (if I discover how I found, I'll let you know) I'd been researching a few things and this rare picture of Aled presenting on GMS in 2007 just cropped up.

Aled is seen here, interviewing a singer I know nothing about. (anyone know anything about him?) His name is Joshua Jones and he wrote a song called Kilimanjaro. I don't actually recall the interview,   and it's very unusual for me to miss GMS.  Hey ho.

Joshua appeared on `Good Morning Sunday' with host Aled Jones this morning to have a chat and play his current single `Kilimanjaro'.

Thanks for the pic. Yes it was on 7 Oct 2007. Joshua came on straight after a phone interview with Emily Maguire. Joshua (21? ) travelled down from Cardiff for the interview. He spoke about living life to the full with Aled, hence the name of his CD 'Seize The Day'.  He is a Cystic Fibrosis sufferer  and he said that climbing Kilimanjaro made him realise how important life is. He is very ambitious and is on a mission to raise £10 million in the next 10years for the charity and raise awareness.

Thanks Vicky, John and Andy....yes it was fascinating to find the picture of Aled in the GMS studio, as we don't have the pleasure of course of having him on the webcam there. Thank goodness for the times he sits in for Sarah Kennedy and Ken Bruce and the camera is on...just lovely!

Having listened again to Joshua's song, I do now have a recollection of the interview last year. He has a lovely voice and it's a beautiful song. What an inspirational man to have such a wonderful goal to raise so much money for the charity. I taught a child with Cystic Fybrosis several years ago and I appreciate what a very worthy cause it is.

I backtracked and found where I came across the picture. I was researching pictures of Aled on his previous Australian Tour and came upon the 'ninemsn' link...ninemsn being allied with one of our TV networks here. There are 600 pictures listed under 'Aled Jones' there, although not all of the images are of our Aled. I was even rather startled to find one in there of me with three members of the Welsh "Fron Male Voice Choir" in Sydney, when I did some work here for UCJ when the choir members were here last year on a promo visit for their first album.

If you double-click on the thumbnail of each picture, the image will enlarge and in most cases, will explain something about the event or the people with Aled. There are loads of lovely pictures of Aled that you would have seen before, but there are a still a few surprises, like this GMS one, that haven't come to light before.
